{thankful} for friends that were meant to be

The last few days, while Frances and I wait for clearance to leave the state, I've had the chance to stay with my girl, Lindsay. Pen and Paint? You've probably heard of her. And if not, y'all (see how Southern I've become?) need to head straight to her shop and bless your walls.
Anyway. Lindsay and I connected last summer when someone sent me one of her prints for my birthday. We started emailing and found out we had about a million things in common. Soon emails turned to texts, conversations got deeper,
we started praying for one another - it went from an online acquaintance to real friendship.
And then, as God would have it, my sweet little Frances was born near Lindsay's hometown. And since she and her husband are awesome, they invited me to come stay for a few days.
You know how you meet someone and you just know down deep that they're a kindred spirit? That's Lindsay. They offered their home, hilarious conversation, encouragement, loved on Miss Frances, shared their wine (and coffee and chocolate) and stayed up until the wee hours talking about the things that really matter. On top of all that, her mama made me a meal that knocked me off my seat with it's goodness.
Food, wine and good conversation. I'm not sure it gets much better than that.

I don't think it's coincidence the way everything worked out. I think I've met some friends that were meant to be, a family that blessed me and my girl, and even my boys from a distance.

Lindsay and Robbie, thanks for loving on my girl, for your crazy good hospitality, for sharing real life. And tell Jack and Charlie thanks for the laughs and little boy company to carry me through the time away from my dudes. You guys are rad.
much love and peace be with you

And go make some new friends! You never know who may end up a kindred spirit.
