all kinds of fun...

Lute has had some major photo opportunities lately. Here we have pre-bath, story time with dada, playtime with cousin Tessa, and a nice visit with Lucy!

Thanksgiving with Nick's family was great - it was such a relaxing day! The next night, a fiesta with my family... and this weekend we had our friends - Dawn, Taylor, Ezra and Lucy - stay with us on their visit from Chicago. It has been a fantastic week!

Okay, so this has turned into the Lute blog, but he does take up most of our time, and he is just so cute. I tried to re-introduce vegetables today, but I think he would have preferred the ever-delicious Yo Baby. A picture is worth a thousand words, so you decide for yourself what his opinion is on sweet potatoes.

In other news, we had a great time at Cannon Beach. It was nice to be on vacation as a family - our first little getaway! The weather was perfect. Nick started his new job at "the Mount" this week and he pretty much loves it! It is such a great fit for his personality. I am really proud of him for taking this leap!

Nick's sister knows how to throw a party! Dressed in his second costume of the day - a mini-scarecrow - Lute joined his cousins (the three Dorothies) and his festive grandparents and aunts and uncles for a Wizard of Oz shindig.... quite the day!

Watch out for those claws! Lute was a trooper for his photo shoot (I think he kinda liked it, too)... We couldn't stop laughing at him in his big gooshy costume. How can you resist those cheeks?
